“We had previously suffered and been
insulted in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to
tell you his gospel in spite of strong opposition.”
Just because we face worldly opposition
does not mean that we can just give up on a task God has set before us. Because
we are no longer of the world when we accept Jesus as our Savior, the world
will offer us only temptation and opposition when we follow God’s plan.
However, we do not face this opposition and temptation on our own strength.
When we face these challenges in our lives it is God’s strength that brings us
through and allows us to continue on with His plan.
