2 John 1:6 "This is Love"

2 John 1:6

            “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”

            Though it seems like a bit of circular reasoning –love is walking in obedience to His command and His command is to walk in love –we cannot let ourselves become bogged down by the repetitive words and miss what the words mean. If we love God we will show our love by walking in his commands. His command is that we walk daily in the love He has shown us. If we love God and we desire to follow Him that love will overflow into every part of our life. We will follow His commands and show His love to those around us because we love Him.
